Favorite K Words
Kids are captivated with words that begin with K, such as kangaroo, kitten, keys, kitchen, and kite. Talk about favorite K words. Write each down, naming all the letters. Then kids can dictate imaginative stories using their favorite K words—perhaps an adventure about a kangeroo in the kitchen. Write K in chalk.
Chalk has a K in it, so use it to practice writing. Supply kids with Crayola® chalk and a chalkboard or a dark sheet of construction paper. Or go outdoors and write on the sidewalk.
