The dreidel has been a holiday favorite for centuries. Add a new spin on this traditional game by making your own dreidel.
1.
The dreidel is a four-sided top with one of the names of four Hebrew letters (nun, gimel, hay, and shin) on each side. The letters stand for the words "Ness Gadol Hayah Sham--A Great Miracle Happened There." Players use coins or other objects to put in or take out of the pot depending on which letter the dreidel lands.
2.
To make a dreidel: Shape Crayola® Model Magic® into a four-sided top. The four flat sides come to a point at the bottom.
3.
To make a handle with which to spin the dreidel, make an indentation in the top of the dreidel. Roll out a pencil shape from the Model Magic. Poke this shape into the indentation. (You can also poke an unsharpened pencil or small wooden dowel half-way through the center of the Model Magic.) Dry 24 hours.
4.
Add one letter (N, G, H, and S) to each side with Crayola Glitter Glue. Or look up how to form the Hebrew letters. Dry overnight before playing.
