Create a display with colorful POP! Use Crayola Color Explosion Spinner™ art and recycled materials to make these fabulous fantasy fireworks!
1.
Here’s one way to make colorful, fake fireworks. Use the display to make a centerpiece for a picnic, a mini Mardi Gras parade float, for a Chinese New Year celebration, or any festive event.
2.
Make a display base. Cover your craft area with newspaper. Paint one or more small, recycled boxes with black Crayola Washable Kid’s Paint and brushes. Cardboard berry boxes work great! Air-dry the paint.
3.
Fabricate your fireworks. Create several pieces of Crayola Color Explosion Spinner™ art. Start by making a dot on the paper with a color-reveal marker. Then follow the directions in the package to use the solution to make cool designs. Color the white side of your Spinner art with Crayola Gel Markers. Use Crayola Scissors to cut fringe into all but one of your decorated papers.
4.
Assemble the centerpiece. Turn your boxes open side down. Poke holes in them to hold bursts of fireworks. Use Crayola School Glue to attach the boxes. Air-dry the glue.
5.
Roll up the fireworks! Roll each paper into a tube. Glue the ends without the fringe into the open slots in the boxes. Open up the fringes to make them POP! Add extra bang with a topper. Create a tube with the remaining Spinner art. Glue the seam. Glue the tube to the top of your centerpiece. Air-dry the glue.
6.
Embellish your display. If you like, add cut-outs, letters, or stickers to the base and topper. Glue additional fireworks on the topper. Allow the glue to air dry.
7.
