Concernant First Hot Air Balloon Flight Across English Channel
Use Crayola® crayons, colored pencils, or markers to color the hot air balloons in the English Channel Flight. Did you know?
On January 7, 1785, Dr. John Jeffries, a Boston doctor, and Jean-Pierre Francois Blanchard, a French aeronaut, were the first to ride across the English Channel in a hot air balloon. They crossed from Dover, England, to Caliais, France, and landed in a forest after nearly landing in the icy water of the English Channel. They threw all of their equipment and clothing overboard in order to make the safe landing possible.
