Concernant Star Festival Wishing Wands

The Japanese write wishes on strips of paper, tie them to sticks and wave them up at the stars during the Star Festival in hopes that their wish will come true. 1. Use Crayola® crayons, colored pencils, or markers to decorate the Star Festival strips. 2. Cut each strip out. 3. Ask an adult to help you punch a hole throughthe side of each strip. 4. String a ribbon through the hole and attach it to a straw. 5. Don't forget to write your wishes on the back of the strips.
