Who's a bug watcher? There are so many fascinating insects and arachnids to discover! Create several Crawling Creatures for bug-loads of fun!

  • 1.

    Do you know the difference between an insect and a spider? How many body parts do they have? How many legs? Find out before you make your Crawling Creatures.

  • 2.

    Using Crayola® Model Magic®, create a real-looking insect or arachnid. Or use your imagination to develop a creature never seen before.

  • 3.

    Add bumps and swirls, dots and hair, antennae and legs with bits of Model Magic. You could also use the plastic bug legs from the Model Magic Bug Mania kit. Air dry.

  • 4.

    Decide where you might find your crawling creature, such as on a leaf, fruit, flower, or web. Use your Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils on construction paper to draw your bug's home. Color it with Crayola Washable Markers.

  • 5.

    Cut out your bug's habitat using Crayola Scissors. Use Crayola Gel Markers to add accents such as leaf veins or intricate designs on a spider web.
